GUNITE

Gunite is a mixture of cement, sand and other additives. The material is transported through a flexible hose with the help of compressed air and its hydration takes place at the end of the hose (nozzle). It is mainly used for the reinforcement and restoration of buildings and other structures.

Advantages

  • Shot-cast concrete has high compressive strength.
  • The shot can be performed on ANY surface, because Gunite is “self-supporting”, therefore no formwork is required.
  • At the same time, it has excellent adhesion to the base material.
  • The shot can be performed on surfaces with varying thicknesses and the same result can be achieved (with smaller jacket thicknesses) compared to poured concrete.
